How do I install Gallery Viewer?
Simply download and run the
setup file. The program will be installed. Simple.
How do I get the updates?
Gallery Viewer uses a click once installer. This means that each time you run the program
it automatically checks for new updates and install them if necessary. You will never need
to download updates manually. Simple.
How do i run the program
First time you install the program it will start straight away. After that it will be in
your list of programs - Start -> programs -> GalleryViewer. You can create a desktop shortcut
if you wish.
How are my pictures stored?
They are stored on your computer in your "My Pictures" folder. They are stored online using
the Amazon S3 storage solution. This means they are backed up with redundancy, it also means
they are available to download, 24/7 365 days a year.
Backing up your pictures on the internet is a good idea - it protects your pictures from being lost
not just if you computer breaks but what if your house flooded or had a fire, undoubtedly all your PCs
and external hard drives will be lost or damaged. However, storing pictures online isn't without risk
there are people out there who you probably don't want to see your personal pictures - including the people
who made Gallery Viewer. So we encrypt your images, this means that not only are they transmitted
safely, they are stored safely. Only you and the people you invite can look at them. We cannot see your pictures.
How do I add pictures?
Well first you must create a gallery, so go to the manage galleries section, create a gallery (inviting
any people you want to share the gallery with along the way), then click the add pictures button, browse
for your pictures - hint: you can select multiple files at once. Then upload them. They will be uploaded
in the background whilst you continue enjoying Gallery Viewer. Please don't close the program until the files have
finished uploading.
Can I use Gallery Viewer to view other pictures that I dont want to backup?
Sure, no problem. Just drop the folder containing your pictures into the Gallery Viewer
folder thats been created in your "My Pictures" folder. But remember, they won't be backed up.
How do I make my desktop wallpaper use the current picture?
With the picture showing in Gallery Viewer, simply right click it and select "set as background
image". Simple.
How do I buy more credits?
Click the buy more credits icon. Choose how many credits you want to buy and complete the order
with Paypal. Remember to click the return to merchant link to get your credits added as quickly as
possible. Otherwise they will have to be added manually by one of us.
Can I use Gallery Viewer on a mac?
Sorry, no, this is a PC only application. It works on Windows XP, Windows vista and Windows 7.
